Barriga-Mendoza Survival Instinct Undercard Information

A showdown between undefeated ex-Olympian Mark Anthony Barriga (8-0,1) and hard-hitting Columbian Gabriel Mendoza (29-5-2,23) for IBF minimumweight ranking number one spot is now primed as the complete undercard of the fight was revealed.

In the co-main event, Genesis “Azukal” Servania (30-1,13) who is now training in Japan will square off the ring in his ring return against Indonesian Jason Butar Butar (27-23-1,18). Servania has signed a multi-year deal contract with Top Rank Promotions after his solid performance against TR’s talent and the current WBO World Featherweight champion Oscar Valdez. Genesis Servania is currently rated as IBF#12, WBA# 4, WBO#4. WBC#13 in super bantamweight division (126 pounds).

PRELIMINARIES

Another Filipino undefeated prospect 19-year-old James Enterina (10-0-1,4) faces an acid test in well-traveled fellow Pinoy  Adam Diu Abdulhamid (11-5,4) in an eight-round non-title welterweight contest. Enterina will face the toughest fight in his career so far when he faces battle tested Abdulhamid who traveled in Australia, Thailand, and Russia to test some of rising prospect in the different part of the world. Unfortunately, Abdulhamid never won a fight abroad.

Boxing fans will also see some of the best talents of Philippine boxing including world-rated Genesis Servania, former world champion Marvin Sonsona, and former world title challenger AJ Banal.

Former WBO World Super Flyweight champion Marvin “Marvelous” Sonsona (20-1-1,15) faces Indonesian Arief Blader (23-27-2,8) in an eight rounds Super lightweight contest. According to Sonsona, he will be fighting at Super lightweight division first then he will go down in super featherweight division (130 pounds) where he wants to continue his career.

AJ “Bazooka” Banal (35-2-1,23) who is a former world title challenger is all set for his second comeback fight. He will take on limited Indonesian Master Suro (12-13-1,2).
