Khalid Yafai-David Carmona WBA championship fight is set as the co-main event of Jerwin Ancajas vs Jonas Sultan fight on May 26 at Selland Arena in Fresno California.
Khalid Yafai (23-0,14) whose parents are Yemeni but training and fighting in Birmingham earned the WBA World Super flyweight crown by easily outpointing Luis Concepcion back in late 2016. Yafai already recorded two title defense against two Japanese boxers Suguru Muranaka and Sho Ishida both by the way of unanimous decision. Yafai will make the third defense of his title against Carmona.
David Carmona (21-5-5,9) a rugged Mexican gets another title crack after his entertaining bouts with top super fly boxers including former WBO super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue and former WBC super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras.
Jerwin Ancajas - Khalid Yafai unification fight possible in the future.
There is a huge possibility of making a super flyweight title unification fight between IBF king Jerwin Ancajas (29-1-1,20) and WBA champ Khalid Yafai if they both win their respective title defenses. Both champions were asked by the media regarding their potential title unification but both champs are now focusing on their title defenses.

Ancajas told ABS CBN News.
“My main focus right now is winning on May 26 but, God willing, all goes well, I’ll most definitely be interested in the winner of Ancajas-Sultan,”
said Yafai to The Ring.
According to Eddie Hearn (Khalid Yafai’s promoter), Yafai could unify title with Ancajas next.
“After that fight, he has to have a unification. So Ancajas is there Sor Rungvisai is there, all those guys. So there’s a good chance he’ll be on that card, and there’s also a good chance that Ancajas could be after.
